Rowan LeCompte created his first window for the Cathedral when he was just 16, and over the years designed more than 40 stained glass windows for the Cathedral, including the beloved West Rose Window. Rowan LeCompte, in collaboration with his wife Irene Matz, also designed the striking mosaics found in the Resurrection Chapel.
Christopher Budny began serving as a volunteer cathedral docent in 1995. Ten years later, he purchased his first camera and started a new hobby. Drawn to architecture since childhood, he finds the beauty of Washington National Cathedral provides seemingly endless opportunities for photography. He regularly carries his camera gear around the cathedral today, seeking new compositions and details to express his love for the building and to share it with others. Primarily self-taught, Chris works in the digital format; if you catch him between tours, he loves to "talk shop" with fellow enthusiasts.
"Thank you for your interest in my photography; your purchase helps support the cathedral and its substantial restoration work following the significant damages inflicted by the 2011 earthquake." -Christopher Budny
